FMI Public Speaker Series: Vernon L. Smith

The Free Market Institute will host Vernon L. Smith (Chapman University), 2002 co-recipient of the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences, for a public lecture on 'Propriety, Property, and Price Discovery in Adam Smith and Classical Economics: Neoclassical Economic Failures.' This event is free and open to the TTU community and the public.

Dirty Dozen Brass Band

- Description: Formed in 1977, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band are the pioneers of the modern New Orleans brass band movement & are referred to as the brass band equivalent of Duke Ellington. Celebrating 40+ years, the DDBB has taken the traditional foundation of brass band music and incorporated it into a blend of genres including Bebop Jazz, Funk and R&B/Soul. This unique sound, described by the band as a ‘musical gumbo,' has allowed them to tour across 5 continents, 30+ countries and record 12 studio albums.
